Frequently Asked Questions

  • What areas do you service?

At our clinic, we provide custom dentures for clients across Tweed Heads and surrounds, including:

    • Fingal Head
    • Banora Point
    • Piggabeen
    • Terranora
    • Chinderah

  • How do I clean my denture?

Using Prozcare Paste (or soap and water) with a toothbrush, hold the denture so that the teeth are closest to you and brush down the tooth and onto the pink plastic. Continue by then brushing the chewing surface of the teeth and the surface of the teeth where your tongue goes (as well as the plastic). Finish by turning the denture over so the teeth are away from you and clean the fitting surface thoroughly.

  • How long do dentures last?

Most dentures last for around eight to ten years, but they’ll need relining every 3-4 years. If you’re wearing immediate dentures, you will probably need to see us for adjustments and relines more regularly. We can reline or refit your dentures when they become loose or unstable but are still in good condition, so it’s not always necessary to construct a new denture.

  • How long does it take to get used to wearing dentures?

Adjusting to dentures varies from person to person, but typically it takes a few weeks to adapt fully.
