At Bromley’s Denture Clinic, we customise full and partial dentures to suit each person’s individual needs. We help our customers throughout the Tweed and Gold Coast to feel more confident with their smiles and improve their ability to chew and talk. For people with no natural teeth, a full denture is the easiest way to replace what has been lost. From start to finish, the construction of this removable appliance is constructed to the individual’s needs.
For people who still have some of their own teeth, partial dentures are a great solution. Our practice offers a range of partial denture options, including acrylic, cast metal framework and nylon flexible dentures. Our prosthetist with fabricate partial denture to fit the upper or lower arch, providing a more affordable option than implants or crowns and bridges.
Wearing a partial denture can help to improve your ability to chew food, smile and speak naturally. We’ll customise the design to fit around the remaining natural teeth and aim to restore oral function for our patients. We design all of our dentures to look as realistic as possible with try-in appointments, so you are consulted every step of the way.
Acrylic partial dentures are common when someone is not missing all their natural teeth on an arch and cost is a consideration. Acrylic partial dentures are easily repaired and can be added to if more teeth are lost. We can repair or modify most kinds of acrylic dentures on-site in our fully-equipped laboratory, enabling fast turnaround times.
We also offer cast metal framework partial dentures. The benefit of a partial casting is that it is a thinner, more robust design. The dentures contain a metal framework that our technicians carefully cast to fit the shape of your remaining natural teeth, resulting in a strong, table and supportive dental prosthetics. We offer many different design options, and our caring team will fabricate the style that best suits your situation.
We also offer nylon flexible partial dentures. These are more flexible that our acrylic partial dentures, with no metal retainers or clasps, and are great when there are only one or two teeth to be replaced. Repairs, additions and relines of flexible nylon dentures are performed off-site, taking around one to two weeks.
Our qualified dental prosthetist creates complete dentures for clients who have lost all of their natural teeth. The ability to chew food, talk, smile and laugh can be improved with a well-fitting set of dentures. Many people suffer from reduced self-image after losing their teeth, and with a well-fitting denture we aim to help you feel like yourself again.

This depends on each individual case, but there are various points to consider. Generally, plastic dentures are thick and cover a large surface area. This is to give the denture strength, so it does not break too easily. However, if there are very few teeth remaining in your upper jaw, covering the roof of the mouth can give the denture more stability and retention. It’s quicker and easier to add a tooth onto a plastic denture if you lose any more teeth in the future. A metal denture generally does not cover as much surface area as a plastic denture. It is usually thinner as it’s a lot stronger. This is a good option if there are not too many teeth to be replaced. It does take longer to add a tooth to a metal denture if you lose any more teeth. As with everything, price is always a consideration. Plastic dentures are cheaper than metal dentures. For an exact quote, call and arrange an appointment to speak to our professionals.
Dentures can break for several reasons. The denture plastic is quite resilient, but dropping the denture onto tiles can cause it to crack or chip. If you are eating and the denture breaks, the most common reason is that the denture is not fitting well and this is causing a see-saw action on the denture, so it breaks down the weakest point. Another factor can be that the relationship between top and bottom dentures is not quite right and it is causing an uneven force distribution. Repairing a denture usually takes a few hours. Still, we do need to consider why it breaks and fix the cause and not just the break itself so that it does not keep happening.
