Implant Retained Dentures

Traditional dentures are not the best solution for every mouth. In certain situations an implant retained denture may be the best solution. Generally, this is a superior option than a conventionally retained denture.

After implants are placed by your dentist/oral surgeon and are deemed adequate for further treatment, work on your denture can commence. A BPS denture (see BPS service page for more information) is custom designed when there is implant retention due to the increased bite force that the denture needs to withstand. When the denture is completed, there will be parts in it that clip into the implants in your jaw, holding the denture firmly in place resulting in greater stability and chewing ability, less food finding its way under the denture, and a feeling that is close to that of natural teeth.

After your implant retained BPS denture has been completed, you will probably need adjustments. This is completely normal and we are more than happy to adjust your dentures for you as many times as you need it. There is no charge for this service, so if you have a problem, let us know - we're always happy to hear from you!
